Olor Del Cibao King Robusto

The CigarMonkey Sponsor, Tex-Cigars.com, sent me a new smoke to try called the Olor Del Cibao. These smokes are a new entry into the North American market. They are made in the Dominican Republic and come in a variety of sizes and tobaccos: Sumatra, Connecticut, Maduro Dark, Cuban and Double Shade wrappers. These cigars are packaged and priced for the everyday working stiff. I had the pleasure of firing up the Olor Del Cibao King Robusto.

The Olor Del Cibao King Robusto is made with a Dominican filler and binder and wrapped in a delicious Sumatra wrapper. I must confess that Sumatra wrapper is one of my favorite tobaccos. The King Robusto measures a standard 5 x 50 and was an easy draw. It lit smoothly and maintained an even burn all the way until the end.  I smoked the King Robusto down to the nub. It was a flavorful smoke with hints of spice and some cherry. It was well constructed and a good choice for the everyday smoker. For less than $3.50 a stick you can not go wrong. They are currently priced at $84.99 for a box of 25. Please click Olor Del Cibao King Robusto for more information and pricing.

The Olor Del Cibao also comes in a Double Shade Presidente and a Dark Maduro. For the everyday smoker, this new line of cigars has a chance in the North American market.  Again, for less than $3.50 a stick, it is hard to beat.

It looks like Jarrod is really hookin' the cigar community up! I smoked one of these babies too, but unfortunately I had some issues with it. But man, it started out soooo tasty. I was so disappointed when I ran into a serious buildup problem about a third of the way in.

Anyway, I'm working on a review of the line myself, and hope to have it up sometime today!
