Padron 1926 Anniversario #2

Today I attended another useless meeting that wasted valuable time. I could have been out in the field selling product for my real job, but I was forced to sit in a conference room and listen to non-stop minutia. Nothing says, Corporate America like a job justifying meeting that produces little results and creates additional work for the sales representatives. For all the Vice Presidents, Presidents, CFOs, CEOs who maybe reading this, please let your field sales force sell and stop wasting there time with fruitless corporate initiatives.  My only saving grace is that I had a precious Padron 1926 Anniversario #2 waiting for me when the meeting came to a close.

I have reviewed the Padron 1926 Anniversario #6 in the past. As you are aware, these smokes were produced to commemorate the 75th Birthday of Jose O. Padron, founder. It is a full bodied smoke that is not meant for the novice cigar smoker. This smoke is packed full of flavor and strength. It is a complex smoke with flavors ranging from pepper, cocoa and coffee. It is a Nicaraguan Puro that contains tobacco from 5 different regions of the country. It is masterfully crafted with a box pressed finish. The Padron 1926 Anniversario #2 is a belicoso shaped delight. It measures 5.5 x 52. It lit like a champ with a smooth draw. The burn was even all the way to the nub. The 1926 Anniversario is becoming very difficult to find. If you are lucky, you will be able to pick one of these up at a B&M for about $18 a stick. I hate buying smokes that are over ten bucks, but these are absolutely one of the best cigars crafted this decade.

It's a no brainier. The Padron 1926 Anniversario is a Golden Monkey Award Winner.

Oh cmon Dan....that's like naming a Mercedes or Beamer a "good car". I thought your Golden Monkeys were reserved for a combo platter of amazing taste, construction and VALUE. In the last month I have tried my first Padron 1926 and 1964. Even though it was cheaper, I actually thought the 1964 had a little more spice. Both were maduro. These babies run $25-$28 here in MN, so consider yourself lucky. I look forward to your more insightful reviews in the future per usual! :)

Joe- How could I not give this beauty an Award for it's excellence? Unfortunately, I can't help you with the $28 price tag.

There are only a few cigars that i've had recently that I would pay more then $20 for, this would be one of them. I like the 64 more then this one but this line is silky smooth and a great smoke.

    My $20 smokes would be
    Padron 64
    Padron 26
    AF Anjeos
God of Fire 2005 Double Robusto
