Smokin' Toad Bullfrog

Last year I reviewed the Smokin Toad Churchill a.k.a. "The Toad". I wrote a favorable review of the cigar due to it's construction, burn, etc. After I published the review, Stinkie from CigarBeat thought I was crazy for such a positive review of a cigar he deemed poor quality. Stinkie disliked the smoke so much that he sent me his last Smokin Toad so he can make extra room in his humidor. He further named it one of the Worst Cigars of 2007. Well, it's been close to a year and I finally fired up the Smokin Toad Bullfrog which was provided by Stinkie.

I fired up the Smokin' Toad Bullfrog while I watched my kids play in the park. I was excited to see if my initial review of the cigar would stand true or would Stinkie's review be more accurate. The Smokin' Toad is an all Nicaraguan creation finished with a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper. It is a medium bodied smoke in the torpedo  shape which measures an impressive 7 x 54. As I lit the cigar I noticed some strong cinnamon and spice flavor. The cigar had a smooth draw but the burn was inconsistent all the way through the smoke. The smoke went out on me at least three times and it quickly became a challenge to smoke. For $5 a stick, the Bullfrog disappointed.

I must agree that Stinkie was correct with his review of the Smokin Toad. It was a "Stinkin' Toad". The Bullfrog is also a good candidate for the Worst Cigars of 2008.
