Acid Kuba Kuba

The other night a few of my friends were enjoying the warm spring night by drinking beers in my garage. One of my buddies gave me an Acid Kuba Kuba to fire up. I am not a fan of flavored smokes but a free cigar is a free cigar and I had to smoke it.

The Acid Kuba Kuba is a well crafted cigar which burned evenly while holding a tight ash. The Kuba Kuba was the perfect size measuring 5 x 54. It is constructed with Nicaraguan tobacco and wrapped in a dark, oily Sumatra wrapper.  The Kuba Kuba is part of the Drew Estate Blue Label Series. As I took the cigar out of the cellophane, I quickly noticed a cinnamon scent coming from the cigar. As I fired up the smoke, I tasted an over powering floral flavor with hints of Jasmin. All this sweet flavor and aroma kinda ruined the experience of smoking a cigar. It was like smoking a candy cane. It was horrible, but again, I am a purist and dislike flavored cigars of all types. The Acid Kuba Kuba is probably the second flavored cigar I fired up in the last year. A box of 24 runs for $115.

In summary, the Acid Kuba Kuba is a well crafted cigar with over powering flavor. If you like these types of cigars, you may want to try one. Personally, I am gonna take a pass.
