Cu*Avana Maduro

I always said, my favorite cigar is a free cigar. Stinkie, founder and creator of CigarBeat, sent me some free smokes the other day. Included was a stick that I have never lit up before. It was an impressive looking cigar that I was eager to fire up. It is called Cu*Avana Maduro.

The first thing I notice was the construction and appearance of the Cu*Avana Maduro. It was firm to the touch and had a dark brown marble-like wrapper. The band was strikingly simple with a burgundy background and a gold tobacco leaf. It was a pretty sharp looking smoke. As I fired it up, I quickly got an even burn that maintained through out the smoke. The draw required some effort but was worth it. For most of the smoke, I noticed heavy leather taste that became a little sweet towards the nub. I fired up the robusto which measures the standard 5 x 50. The Cu*Avana Maduro is crafted with Dominican fillers and binders. It is finished with a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. Overall, I was impressed with this little smoke. The best part, the Cu*Avana Maduro is a dirt cheap. A box of 20 sticks runs for $40. At two buck a piece, they are a must try.
