Punch Rare Corojo
This morning I had a useless three hour long conference call with the big bosses. I was sitting at poolside with my lap top and a couple of cigars to help pass the time. While watching my boxer chase rabbits and listening to non-stop dribble on the other end of the phone, I fired up a Punch Rare Corojo Rothschild. I picked this little gem up at my local B&M. It has always been one of my favorite smokes. It is the perfect remedy for any marathon teleconference.
The Punch Rare Corojo Rothschild is a box-pressed beauty that measures a mere 4.5 x 50 and is a perfect 30 minute smoke. It is constructed with Dominican Piloto Cubano, Honduran, and Nicaraguan long fillers. It has a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and is topped with a reddish Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. This blend of tobacco produces a full-bodied smoke with a leather taste and hints of chocolate. This firm little stick lit like a champ and maintained an even burn all the way to the nub. After I was finished, I was begging for more. The draw was effortless and the burn was even. At one point, I was able to get almost a two inch ash on this beauty before it fell on my lap top. No worries, I blew off the ashes and my computer works as slow as it did before. In any case, at a price of $2.50 a stick, it is a worthy addition to any humidor. A box of 50 runs for about $116 and you can find these little gems just about anywhere.
