That's the one I had. I didn't save the band and couldn't remember the exact name, but yes, a triple ligero with the corojo wrapper (and my friend did have the maduro wrapper version). It was indeed a tasty stick and I look forward to getting my hands on them again.

I will keep an eye out for that one. Unfortunately, there's only one store in my area that carries Arganese currently, and they don't carry the entire line yet. I actually ran into the founder and namesake, Gene Arganese, at that shop a couple weeks ago. He and the California rep were visiting with the owner of the shop. He gave me and my friend each a free Connecticut Ambassador and the rep gave us each a "pre-release" cigar that I think they are introducing at the national retail show this month. If I remember correctly, I had the "LR3" which is a triple-ligero with a rosado wrapper; my friend had the "MR3" with the Maduro wrapper. Both were excellent and very powerful. Look forward to seeing those on the shelves soon.

I have to agree completely with this review. The Connecticut Ambassador doesn't look like much with it's smooth, very light natural wrapper, but it is an excellent smoke--something that's fairly unusual to find in a light-to-medium bodied stogie. By way of comparison, one of the other light Connecticut stogies that I've tried lately was the Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 and I absolutely hated it. This one, on the other hand, was rich and complex without being overly powerful.
